Since the first week of the October war, the evacuated families from the South and North of Israel need a home, far away from their homes, immediately and for an indefinite amount of time.
That’s precisely what we do in our aid centre for evacuated families: We locate empty houses and apartments whose owners are willing to make them available to these families, free of charge. We then turn these apartments into homes, a home away from their home. 
Our volunteers design and furnish the empty apartments with furniture, appliances, supplies, and basic necessities, including a welcome meal upon the family’s arrival! 
We cooperate with different groups and services, enveloping the families and aiding them while they are displaced from their homes. Each evacuated family is matched up with a family from the community that helps them settle in while in their temporary home.
Our initiative, operating a unique and comprehensive model that began in the neighbourhood of Ramat Hen, Ramat Gan in central Israel, is now branching out to other cities after finding homes for more than 100 evacuated families.
